Archery Health & Safety Guide
- Ensure that all your equipment is set up properly before starting, most importantly your bow.
- Make sure you are wearing suitable clothing, for example open ended shoes are not advisable. For an extra precaution you could wear an arm guard and chest guard.
- Think about your shooting area, what is behind your targets. The last thing you want is for an arrow to miss a target and hit a general member of the public.
- When you have used all your arrows, make sure that everyone else has also finished before going to collect them.
- Make sure your equipment is cared for properly as badly kept equipment may cause it to break and could cause an accident.
